A great 2019 service at the Welsh Society

The Welsh Society of Richville held its annual service on Sunday, August 25th 2019 at 2pm.  at the historic church, corner of Main street and St. Hwy 11.  Guest speaker was Bryan Thompson, Town of DeKalb historian.  He presented an in depth look at where the Richville Welsh settlers came from in Wales and some the the troubles they were escaping by immigrating to America. Holly and Brooke Goddard played some amazing Celtic music with their fiddle and bodhran and the congragation gave it a try with some traditional Welsh songs and hymns.  Refreshments were served afterwards courtesy of Richville Historical Association.
